Migrate your existing Pathfinder DB

It is likely that you might have already created a network environment with infrastructure, devices and connections in Pathfinder during your trial period.
The complete network environment data is stored in the built-in SQL database that comes with the Pathfinder trial license and installation package.

This page describes how to migrate the already existing data in a Pathfinder specific database into another.

If you already have the show this dialog during startup checkbox checked, the manage database connections dialog window will show up automatically when you start Pathfidner.

If you do not have this checked, just start the Pathfinder application and immediately press and hold F8 on the keyboard until Manage Database Connections dialog window appears.

Click on the Copy Database… option in the ribbon below and start the database copy process.

To start the data transfer, first provide the login password for the source database. Then you will be prompted to provide only the password for the destination database.

For a file based DB (SQlite or FB embedded) leave the destination database password field empty.

Once the credentials are verified, the copy process will begin.
