Connection overview

This page describes connection overview in Pathfinder.

The connection overview provides information about the network connections and paths.

You can find the view connection or connection option in the context menu of any location or component. Click on it to open the connection overview dialog window.

 


 

 

You can access the filter options here (1). You can filter by location, component and definitions.

Your results are displayed here (2). You can view the overall compact information on the cable connections, you can view the patch cable connections, the line cable connections and the network pathway in your selected location or component.

You can also create and remove cable connections here (3). For information about cable connections go to: Cable Management.

Right click on a port to open the context menu (4). The context menu offers the following options:

Show: Display the port in the active network.

Patch: Opens the Creating Patch Cable Connection (1:n) dialog window.

Remove Patch: Removes the cable connection.

Network Path: Opens the Network Path dialog window.

Properties: Opens the Port Properties dialog window.


 

 

You can create reports of your results. For more information about managing reports, go to: Analysis and Reports.

In the options tab, you can choose to show additional information and remove connected ports. You can also customize the available information.

You can view the connection overview raw data and export it as a .XML file format.
