Design Slots

This pages describes how to add slots to your component definition design.

Select the Slots tab in your component definition properties and click on the add icon at the bottom of the window.

You can view information about the component slots and add slot definitions to your component definition here.

You can add a slot by clicking on the add slot icon (1).

You can manage the slot design here (2). To add a slot definition, first select number of slots you want in your component definition.

Select whether the slots should be placed on the front side or the back side of the component.

You can assign a starting number for numbering your slots.

Assign the port orientation and select a naming rule for the slot.

Finally select the slot definition here (3). Your slots will be displayed here after selection.

You can also create a new slot definition.

After you have created your slots, you can select the slot type.

You can click on the slot type field and select the slot role from the predefined list or add more slot roles to your slot.
