Tray Instances

This page describes how to manage cable tray instances in Pathfinder.

Select the Manage tray instance option from the tray management section.

Here you will find all tray related information.

Tray Instances

You can create new trays, delete existing trays and generate new or predefined tray reports here (1).

You can search for trays in specific locations and buildings using the filter and search option here (2).

You can drag and drop a column header here (3) to view cable details as groups corresponding to the selected header. You can combine multiple headers to create custom groups.

You can view your tray instances here (4). You can change the available column headers with the asterixis and organize the information you want to view. Double click on any of the trays to edit the tray properties. You can also add or delete cables inside the tray from here.

Context Menu

Open

Right clicking on any of the component instance will bring up the context menu. From the context menu you can perform the following actions:

Delete: Deletes the selected tray and all contained cables.

Properties: Opens the tray properties window to edit tray information. For more information about tray properties, go to: Tray Properties.

Change value for column “selected column“: Select multiple instances of the same definition and edit them all at once. This option is field specific and will only be available for properties fields that do not require unique name values.
