"Manage naming rules" in the "system" sections opens a wizard to create and manage naming rules.
In Pathfinder you can create naming rules for all objets, e.g. ports and cables.
- In the first step, Pathfinder lists all existing rules (1).
- You can add or remove naming rules with "create" or "delete", respectively (2).
- Select the naming rule you would like to edit and click on "next" (3).You can also double click a naming rule.

- In the second step, you enter properties like name and description.
- Now you need to define for which type of object these rules will apply. You can define several rules per object.
- Click "next".

- In the third step, Pathfinder lets you manage control elements and define their properties.
- Use "create" to add new control elements.
- The left area lists the existing control elements. Choose a control element with the drop down menu.
- In the right area you can define the properties of the selected control element.
- The bottom of the screen shows you a preview on how these elements will influence the naming rules of the object.
- Click "finish"
