In this example two PCs shall be relocated from one room to another.

First open the Work Orders tab in the Sidebar (1). Now you can create a new work order using + (2). Name it and optionally add description and remark. Also assing a start and a due date to it. Click Ok to complete the creation.

Now you can start the recording process by clicking Record (2).

The work order's status should be Recording (3) now. While recording Pathfinder will add work order items for all performed tasks, rather than actually processing them.

Select the PCs that are to be relocated and open the relocation dialog via the context menu (right click).

You can also choose to relocate patch cables alongside the PCs. If you choose not to do that, the cables will be automatically removed and you can add new cables in the next step, which will be recorded as well.

Finish the process by clicking Relocate and stop the recording by clicking Stop.

Now the PCs appear at their new location, tagged with the work order ID. This tag will stay in place until the work order is completed, to clarify this relocation is only planned and not yet an actual change.

In order process the work order, select Process via More. You can also process single work order items via their context menu.

Once the work order is processed, the tags will be gone and the changes have been actually written to the database.
