Navigation Module

This page describes the navigation module context menu.

Right click on the locations and infrastructures to bring up the navigation sidebar context menu.

The context menu provides options to perform useful tasks in Pathfinder based on the selected object and your position in the nested hierarchy.

Open

You can navigate around the infrastructures in Pathfinder using the navigation module.

Locations, buildings, floor and rooms created for your network are displayed here in a nested list structure.

Right clicking on a infrastructure to open the context menu.

The context menu provides further options for your Pathfinder network and infrastructure.

You can move infrastructures between location, buildings and floors and even completely ungroup them from any nested hierarchies.

Context Menu

Add location:

Allows you to add a location on the map. This option is only available in the top level of the infrastructure hierarchy.

Add building:

Allows you to add a building on the map. This option is only available in the top level of the infrastructure hierarchy and inside a location.

Add floor:

Allows you to add a floor inside buildings. This option is only available inside buildings.

Add room:

Allows you to add a room inside floors. This option is only available inside floors.

Add cabinet:

Allows you to create a cabinet or rack inside a room. This options is only available inside rooms.

Add component:

Allows you to create component definitions like routers, switches, patch panels, PC, etc. This option is only available inside rooms and cabinets or racks.

Connections:

Opens the connections overview window which displays a summary of all network connections inside the selected infrastructure.

Export:

Export the selected layer and all nested components to a Pathfinder package for import or sharing.

Copy:

Copy the selected layer and all nested components.

Paste:

Paste the contents of the last copied selection.

Delete:

Allows you to delete locations, infrastructures and components.

Expand:

Allows you to expand the selected infrastructure.

Properties:

Allows you to view all details about the selected item.

Search contained components:

Allows you to manage component instances in the selected infrastructure.

Search contained patch cables:

Allows you to manage patch connection instances in the selected infrastructure.

Search contained installation cables:

Allows you to manage line cables connection instance in the selected infrastructure.

Search contained trays:

Allows you to manage tray instances in the selected infrastructure.

Search contained network paths:

Allows you to manage network path instances in the selected infrastructure.

Reports rooms view:

Creates a report of all room present in the selected infrastructure.

Reports network overview:

Creates a report of all network connections, first and last, present in the selected infrastructure.

Report patch connections:

Creates a report of all patch connections present in the selected infrastructure.

Report line connections:

Creates a report of all line connections present in the selected infrastructure.

Report network paths:

Creates a report of complete network paths for all components present in the selected infrastructure.

Report data outlets:

Creates a report of all data outlets present in the selected infrastructure.

Report cabinet views:

Creates a report of all cabinets and racks present in the selected infrastructure.
