Buildings

This page describes the most common properties of building infrastructures in Pathfinder.

Select Add building from the location properties or from the location context menu within the navigation module.

You can fill in the fields to create properties for your buildings.

 

 


 

You can create buildings for your location from the navigation module. Click on the add button and select building from the drop down menu similar to adding a location.

You can also select a building on the interactive map (1), right click on a building block and click on add building (2) from the drop down menu to add the building to your location.

Fill out the new building information and click on OK.

You can create multiple buildings for a single location.

You can add and remove infrastructure from the nested hierarchy by dragging them in or out of locations, buildings, etc. in the navigation sidebar window.


 

 

The building properties consist of the following fields:

Name: Assign a name to your building infrastructure.

Short name: Create a short name to quickly find your infrastructure.

Description: Write a description about the building.

Street: The street address of your building.

ZIP code: The postal code of your building.

City: The name of the city your building is in.

Latitude: Your building’s geographical position (Lat).

Longitude: You building’s geographical position (Long).

URL:

External Ref no.:

Bookmark: Shareable bookmark link for browsers.

Documents: This field has an extended menu which allows adding and deleting flies and documents .

Permissions: Create read and Write authorization for users.


 

 

Once you have created a building, you can add floors.

From the create new building window, click on the add floor button (1) to add a floor inside the building. Click on OK to finish.

You can view the nested floor infrastructure here (2). Double click on an infrastructure on open its properties.

You can also upload documents from the Documents tab, review the history and scan the barcode to print the label for this infrastructure.
