Patch Cable Properties
You can distinguish a patch cable by the word PATCH in the default naming rule.
In the patch cable properties, you can view and edit the following fields:
Definition: Describes the component definition name of the instance.
Name Assign a name to the cable instance.
Number: Assign a number to the cable instance.
Description: Write a short description about the cable instance.
Purchase date: Set the date of purchase of the item.
Installation date: Set the installation date of the item.
Cable length: Assign the length of the cable.
Tags: View and manage tags for the selected cable instance.
Color: View and manage the cable definition color of the selected instance.
URL: Assign links to the cable instance.
External ref.: Assign any external references for the cable instance.
Bookmark: Bookmark the cable to share with other users in Pathfinder.
Documents: Add and manage documents related to the selected instance.
Information about the patch cable connection is displayed on the right hand side of the dialog window.
Line Cable Properties
You can distinguish a line cable by the word CABLE in the default naming rule.
In the line cable properties, you can view and edit the following fields:
Definition: Describes the component definition name of the instance.
Name Assign a name to the cable instance.
Number: Assign a number to the cable instance.
Description: Write a short description about the cable instance.
Purchase date: Set the date of purchase of the item.
Installation date: Set the installation date of the item.
Cable length: Assign the length of the cable.
Tags: View and manage tags for the selected cable instance.
Color: View and manage the cable definition color of the selected instance.
Used: Describes the total number of wires or fibers used out of the total available.
Used in [%]: Total number of wire or fibers used, shown as a percentage of the total available.
Usage Threshold in [%]: Denotes the number of instances, of the definition, that can be created.
Reached Threshold in [%]: Total number of instances created, shown as a percentage of the total allowed.
URL: Assign links to the cable instance.
External ref.: Assign any external references for the cable instance.
Bookmark: Bookmark the cable to share with other users in Pathfinder.
Documents: Add and manage documents related to the selected instance.
