manage port types

The function manage port types starts a wizard that lists all port types currently present in the network.

Use this wizard to:

• generate new port types
• import port types from the online catalog
• edit existing port types
• delete port types

Please consider that port types can only be edited or deleted if they are not (or no longer) part of an existing component definition (device or cable). Moreover, Pathfinder helps you to check the precision fit (between two or more ports through a cable), e.g. it will not be possible to connect two RJ45 sockets with a USB cable because the port types are not compatible (number of pins).
