In the import and export of component definitions window, select the category and or manufacturer and search from the list of components from the online catalog or search with a specific name if the desired component name is known (1).
Select the required components (2) and add the component definitions to your local catalog by clicking Import. Repeat this process, until all needed component definitions are imported into your local catalog.
Importing a component definition will also automatically import any port types, slot types, geometries, etc. used in the definition.
You can now find all your imported component definitions in the local catalog (Alt + C).
Right click on a component and select show modules from catalog to show available modules in the local catalog for the selected component.
If a component or module is not yet available in the online catalog, you can request it from our support.
You can also export component definitions that you have created, from the export tab in a similar way.
After your local catalog is populated with your desired components, you can immediately place these components in your infrastructure and begin your network construction.
To import component definitions from the online catalog, first enter some information about the component you are looking for (Name, Manufacturer, Category) and click on Search (1).
Now all matching component definitions will be listed. Choose those you want to import (2) and finish the procedure by clicking Import.
Component definitions, which already have been imported, will appear greyed out.
Importing a component definition will automatically also import any port types, slot types, geometries etc. used in this definition.
