This section describes the steps to install the Pathfinder client and to setup the database.


Step 1: Start the Pathfinder.exe , select the application language and allow the setup wizard to guide you through the installation process. Choose between local and portable installation. The default installation path is set to "C:\programs\pathfinder" which can be changed in the next step.

Step 2: After the installation directory has been set, click "install" to setup Pathfinder on your device.

Step 3: If you are not using the latest version of Pathfinder, after the installation, the application with automatically perform an web update to the latest version of the software. Please make sure you have an active connection to the internet available for this process to be performed successfully.

Step 4: After the installation is complete, Pathfinder will prompt you for the license. You can copy and paste the license key into the installer or select the license file "license.ldf" from your directories . You can also close the installer and copy the license file "license.ldf" into the Pathfinder installation directory and start the application.
