Open the Pathfinder installer and select the setup language. You can choose between English and German.
Click on OK to proceed. The setup wizard will guide you through the installation process.
You can choose your installation path between local and portable installation. The default local installation path is set to "C:\programs\pathfinder"
. To select a custom directory, select the portable/networkshare installation option.
You can also check the show advanced options and manage them in the next window.
Click on Next to continue.

Note: To view logs of the application load process you can choose to install the Pathfinder Log Viewer. |
After the installation directory has been set, click
on install
to setup Pathfinder
.
If you are not using the latest version of Pathfinder, after the installation, the application with automatically perform an web update to the latest version of the software. Please make sure you have an active connection to the internet available for this process to be performed successfully.
Click on Finish to launch Pathfinder. If you want to launch Pathfinder later, uncheck the Run Pathfinder.exe option and click on finish to close the installation window.
before you can access the login screen, Pathfinder will prompt you for
your license. You can copy and paste the license key into the installer or select the license file "license.ldf" from your directories.
You
can also close the installer without running Pathfinder, copy the license file "license.ldf" and paste it into the Pathfinder installation directory
. Launch the
Pathfinder application now and your license should automatically be recognized and verified.

Copy C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Pathfinder to d: \ temp \ pathfinder
Installation in d: \ temp \ pathfinder (overwriting the installation)
Start d: \ temp \ pathfinder \ pathfinder.exe with F8 pressed to get to the database connection management
Make sure the pathfinder_test is the default connection.
Warning: The default connection is updated when Pathfinder starts !!
Run the installation file Pathfinder-3.3.x.xxx.exe with |
a. Lokale Installation
b. Path: D: \ temp \ Pathfinder
c. Confirmation to overwrite the |
d. Confirm folder and summary with OK, start installation |
e. After the installation the question arises whether Pathfinder should be started
f. Finish and start Pathfinder
G. After starting Pathfinder you will be asked whether the database should be updated
H. To update
i. The login dialog appears
j. The test upgrade has been carried out successfully. |
