This pages describes how to manage vendor information in Pathfinder. The Pathfinder local catalog database comes prefilled with a large collection of supported vendor. You can edit the list by adding more information to the already existing vendors, by creating new vendors or by deleting existing vendors. You can also import more vendors from the online catalog.

Manage Manufacturer

In the Catalog functions, you will find the Manage manufacturers option. A list of all existing manufacturers preloaded in the local catalog is available here.

To edit an existing manufacturer just double click on the vendor name from the list. Using the add, delete and import buttons (1), new manufacturers can be created, existing vendors can be deleted and more vendors can be imported from the online catalog.

Importing existing manufacturers from the online catalog makes your network documentation easier. Please use the online catalog to avoid inconsistencies and data duplication.


Create Manufacturers

You can create new manufacturer with the add button. When creating a new manufacturer, enter the name first. Filling out the other fields is optional. Click Finish once you are done.

Editing an existing manufacturer is quite similar to creating a new one. Double clicking on an existing manufacturer with open a similar dialog already containing the data of the selected manufacturer.


Import Manufacturer

Before creating new manufacturers, please check if they already exist in the online catalog. New manufacturers can be imported from the online catalog.

In the import manufacturer window, select the manufacturers you need and click on Import.

Manufacturers already existing in your local catalog will appear greyed out.
