Ports can conveniently be

conveniantely

patched

by

using drag&drop

by the following steps:

Open the

cabinet(s) that you would like

cabinets you want to patch in

or between.
  • If  necessary, you can zoom in by pressing the "ctrl" key and scrolling with the mouse wheel.
  • Use the mouse to draw a line between the ports you would like to patch (it will be shown in green by Pathfinder).

    • A new dialog will open displaying cable definition and naming rule.

    • make your selection
    • click on "finish"

    between and select an idle port (colored blue). Drag it onto another idle port you want to connect it to. After you choose a patch cable you can finish the process.

    You can also change connections, which have already been established. Drag a patched port onto an idle port for the idle port to take over the connection from the patched port. The other end of the patch connection is not changed.
