You can use the component designer to define how what your component definition will look like; e.g. you can position ports and slots according to the real appearance of your component.
To design your component please take the following steps:
- Navigate to the component definition in the catalog and open it by double clicking.
- Open the Designer tab (1) and click on the icon at the bottom (2).
- The component designer will open in a new window (3).
- Position ports or slots by drag&drop. You can make further changes (e.g. turns) to every each element via the context menu (right click).
- Align features conveniently with the "alignment" window (4).
- Click "apply" Apply to save your changes (5).
